Getting started
Install Help Center for Booknetic SaaS, meet its requirements, and stand up a branded, searchable knowledge base in minutes.
Help Center adds a structured, searchable knowledge base inside Booknetic — topics, categories, live search, article voting and analytics — so tenants, admins and customers find answers where they already work, and your support inbox gets quieter. It’s a Booknetic SaaS add-on.
This page gets you installed and oriented. The rest of the manual covers every screen in depth:

Requirements
- Booknetic SaaS installed and active.
- PHP 7.4 or newer.
Install & activate
- Download the zip from your Code Heaven account.
- In wp-admin go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, install and activate.
- Activate your licence — see Licensing & updates.
On activation, Help Center sets up its own storage automatically — there’s nothing to configure at the database level.
The admin menu
A Help Center menu appears in the Booknetic admin (a question-mark icon). It has four areas:
- Dashboard — usage analytics: views, satisfaction, popular and failed searches.
- Topics — your articles.
- Categories — how articles are grouped.
- Settings — appearance, content, links, and advanced options, across five tabs.
Quick start
- Create a few categories — for example Getting Started, Billing, Troubleshooting. See Categories & topics.
- Add your first articles — start with the questions you answer most.
- Brand it — set your colours, logo links and footer in Settings & branding.
- Publish it — drop the
[booknetic-help-center]shortcode on a WordPress page. See Publishing & embedding.
Prefer to start with sample content?
Settings includes an Import Dummy Data tool that fills the help center with example categories, articles and search history so you can see the finished article before writing your own — then clear it with one checkbox when you’re ready. Details in Maintenance & FAQ.
Multi-tenant
Help Center is built for Booknetic SaaS: every tenant gets their own isolated categories, articles, votes, search history and branding. There’s nothing to set up for isolation — it’s automatic.
