Booknetic / Credit Topup
Tenant experience & FAQ
How Booknetic SaaS tenants buy Credit Topup packs, how monthly and purchased credits are consumed, the workflow events, and troubleshooting.
This page is the tenant side: how a tenant buys credits, how they’re spent, and the automation around it — plus a FAQ.
How a tenant buys credits
A top-up button appears in the tenant’s billing area for each channel you’ve enabled. The tenant:
- Opens the top-up for the channel they need (SMS, WhatsApp or email).
- Picks one of your plans.
- Pays with one of your enabled methods — balance, card (Stripe) or Mercado Pago.
The credits are added to their account as soon as payment confirms.
How credits are consumed
The rule is simple and tenant-friendly:
- Monthly plan credits are used first.
- When the monthly allowance runs out, purchased credits take over automatically — there’s nothing for the tenant to switch.
- Purchased credits never reset. Unlike the monthly allowance, they carry over month to month until they’re used up.
Automation: workflow events
Two kinds of events let you wire up notifications:
- a purchase event when a tenant buys credits — send a thank-you or a receipt,
- an exhaustion event when a channel’s credits run out — nudge the tenant to top up before they’re stuck.
FAQ
The top-up button isn’t showing for a tenant
Check that: the relevant workflow add-on (SMS / WhatsApp / Email) is active, the tenant’s plan allows that channel, the tenant isn’t on an unlimited plan (there’s nothing to top up), and at least one active plan exists for that channel.
Card payments fail
Confirm your Stripe keys are configured in the SaaS settings. For Mercado Pago, confirm the access token is set.
Credits weren’t added after payment
Payment confirmation adds the credits automatically. If they don’t appear, check the payment actually completed (status paid) and that the channel’s workflow add-on is still active.
Do purchased credits expire?
No — purchased credits are cumulative and don’t reset; they remain until used.
Does it work without the campaign add-ons?
Yes. Credit Topup works with the workflow add-ons alone (for transactional messages). The campaign add-ons are optional — and when present, you can keep campaign credits in a separate pool.
