Booknetic / Bank Transfer

Automation & FAQ

Automate Booknetic bank-transfer emails with workflow events and shortcodes, set staff permissions, and troubleshoot common issues.

Beyond the basic flow, Bank Transfer plugs into Booknetic’s automation and permissions — and coexists with your other gateways. This page covers all of that, plus a FAQ.

Workflow events

Three events fire so you can send your own emails or notifications at each step:

  • when a customer submits a transfer confirmation,
  • when you approve it,
  • when you reject it.

Hook your Booknetic workflows to these to send a “we’ve received your transfer” note on submit, a receipt on approval, or a “please re-send your details” message on rejection.

Email shortcodes

When composing those messages, drop in:

  • the bank details the customer should pay into,
  • a confirmation link to your confirmation page,
  • the customer’s submitted reference number.

Staff permissions

Granular permissions control who can do what — see the settings, view the list of confirmations, and approve or reject them. Grant them to the staff roles that should handle payments.

Works with your other gateways

Bank Transfer is an addition, not a replacement. Offer it alongside cards and any other Booknetic gateway — the customer simply picks their preferred method at checkout.

SaaS

On Booknetic SaaS, every setting and confirmation is scoped to the tenant, so each workspace runs its own bank accounts, instructions and review queue independently.

FAQ

The Bank Transfer method isn’t appearing at checkout

Make sure you’ve saved at least one bank account — the method stays off until one exists. Also check it’s enabled in your payment-gateway settings.

The “I transferred” button isn’t in the customer panel

That button needs the Customer Panel add-on active. Without it, customers can still confirm from the finish screen or an email link.

The links point at the page holding the [booknetic-bank-transfer] shortcode. Make sure that page is published and that the confirmation page setting points to it.

Can a customer fix a wrong reference?

Yes — if you reject a confirmation with a note, the customer can resubmit a corrected one.

Does approving mark the booking paid automatically?

Yes. Approve sets the booking to paid in one click; reject leaves it pending for resubmission.
