WooCommerce / Alovio Product Options
Getting started
Install Alovio Product Options and turn WooCommerce products into configurators — option groups, 18 field types, five pricing modes and a live price breakdown. 100% free.
Alovio Product Options is a free WooCommerce plugin that turns products into configurators: add extra fields and paid add-ons — engraving, gift wrap, made-to-order dimensions, finishes — in a full-screen builder, price them five different ways, and show shoppers a live price breakdown before add-to-cart. Everything is free; there is no Pro version.
Requirements
- WordPress 6.4 or newer.
- WooCommerce active.
- PHP 7.4 or newer.
It’s compatible with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).
Install
- In wp-admin go to Plugins → Add New and search Alovio Product Options.
- Click Install, then Activate.
Build once, apply everywhere
Options live in option groups that you build once and apply across your catalogue — not one form per product. The builder is a full-screen app at WooCommerce → Product Options:
- Open WooCommerce → Product Options and click Add group — or start from one of the templates (gift options, engraving, t-shirt designer, made-to-order dimensions, delivery date, donation).
- Add fields from the palette — text, dropdown, swatches, a quantity stepper, a surcharge and more. Drag to reorder; the preview beside you updates live.
- Give priced fields a price and add conditional rules where you need them. Use the preview-as-customer simulation bar to test the form live.
- Set the group’s assignment — all products, one or more categories, or specific products — and its priority (which decides the order when several groups meet on one product).
- Click Save & publish.
A slim panel on the product edit screen shows exactly which groups apply to that product, with one-click links back into the builder.
What the customer sees
On the product page, your options appear as cards above the Add to cart button. As the customer fills them in, a price breakdown lists the base price, each chosen option with its cost, and the running total — formatted in your store currency and following the selected variation. Their choices carry through to the cart — one option per line, each with its price on a chip — the order, and order emails — see Add-on pricing.
Moving from 1.x
Upgrading from an older version? Your per-product fields are migrated into option groups automatically — carts survive the upgrade and there’s nothing to redo.
Where to next
- Every field type: Option types.
- Pricing modes and the live breakdown: Add-on pricing.
- Show options only when relevant: Conditional logic.
