Turn the Booknetic customer panel into a real dashboard
The stock Booknetic customer panel works, but it reads like a settings page. Here is how to give customers a modern account portal — appointment cards, reschedule and pay drawers, packages and six themes — with no core edits.
Booknetic is a powerful appointment system, and its customer panel —
the [booknetic-cp] area where customers manage their own bookings — does the job. But visually it
reads like an admin settings screen: a flat table, basic actions, little hierarchy. For a booking
business, that panel is the post-booking experience. It deserves to feel like a real account
portal.
What “a real dashboard” means here
The stock panel and a modern portal collect the same data — they just present it differently. A dashboard-style panel gives you:
- a welcome/overview instead of a bare list
- appointment cards (service, staff, date, location, price, status) split into Upcoming, Past and All — not one undifferentiated table
- in-panel drawers for detail, reschedule and pay, instead of full-page reloads
- clean profile and security pages
- a packages view for customers who bought session bundles
Doing it without forking Booknetic
The wrong way to redesign the panel is to edit Booknetic’s core files — you’ll lose every change on the next update. The right way is an overlay: a separate add-on that replaces the customer-panel shortcode with its own renderer and reuses Booknetic’s existing customer-panel endpoints underneath. No core files touched, no database changes, and it keeps working across Booknetic updates.
That’s exactly how Cuspan Pro is built. It loads as its own plugin, swaps the
[booknetic-cp] output for a modern panel, and delegates the real work — reschedule eligibility,
status changes, payments — back to Booknetic’s own logic. Turn it off and you’re back to the stock
panel; nothing is held hostage.
Matching your brand
A portal that looks like someone else’s product is worse than a plain one. Cuspan Pro ships a Panel Designer: six colour themes (including a dark mode), an accent colour, corner style, your logo, and eleven layout, card and account toggles — so the panel matches the tenant’s brand with no code. On Booknetic SaaS, each tenant gets their own look.
Works on Booknetic and Booknetic SaaS
The same overlay runs on regular Booknetic and on Booknetic SaaS. On SaaS it’s a per-tenant feature, so every workspace can have a branded, modern customer panel.
See it live
The fastest way to judge a customer panel is to use one. There’s a fully interactive demo — appointment cards, the reschedule calendar with real time-slots, status changes and a packages tab — at the Alovio for Booknetic demo. Open the Cuspan Pro card and click “View as user”.
